Antique Tractor and Engine Show

The HCAT & EC annual tractor show is held on the 2nd Saturday in June at the Gillespie County Fairgrounds.

Some of the activities held each year include but are not limited to: tractor displays, engine displays, blacksmithing, antique tractor pulls, agricultural machinery demonstrations such as thrashing wheat and baling straw, several different corn processing demonstrations and a tractor parade that features the tractors participating in the show, giving a brief history on each.

Our sawmill gives an up close look at sawing and planeing wood the old fashioned way.  We feature a replica 1920’s farm house that will take you back to yesteryear, giving you a feel for what it was like to live in that era.  Several children’s activities are held throughout the day on Saturday.  A variety of vendors are on hand to sell their treasurers.  Food and drink are also available during the show for your convenience.  If you want to take a closer look into the past, please join us for a fun filled weekend.

Location is Gillespie County Fairgrounds, two miles south of Fredericksburg on State Highway 16.
